For every woman who is tired of acting weak when she knows she is strong;
There is a man who is tired of appearing strong when he feels vulnerable.
For every woman who is tired of acting dumb;
There is a man who is burdened with the responsibility of ‘knowing everything’.
For every women who is tired of being called an ‘emotional female’;
There is a man who is denied the right to weep and be gentle.
For every woman who is called unfeminine when she competes;
There is a man for whom competition is the only way to prove he is masculine.
For every woman who is tired of being a sex object;
There is a man who must worry about his potency.
For every woman who feels ‘tied down’ by her children;
There is a man who is denied the full pleasure of parenthood.
For every woman who is denied meaningful employment and equal pay;
There is a man who must bear the financial responsibility for another human being.
For every woman who was not taught the intricacies of an automobile;
There is a man who was not taught the satisfaction of cooking.
For every woman who takes a step towards her own liberation;
There is a man who finds that the way to freedom has been made a little easier.
~ Nancy Smith

As I was browsing through a set of poems, I managed to find the one above. As I read it, I felt like every single word of it reflects what is happening to the world, in every society, and worse, even in families.
How come there are people who are sexists, or racists?
Don't they understand that
there is no such thing as superiority of race, gender, or lives. None really. Each and every one of us are born equally. Born under the grace of God, through our parents.
No one has the right to brag, no matter what you've achieved. No one has the right to degrade others simply because of that. If I were to talk prejudicedly, I'd say you are far more worse than the person you're degrading!
When you hurt the feelings of other people, what do you get? A boost in your ego? A sense of superiority? Its
more of a spot in hell my dear, if you ask me.

One day after the Retreat, and I'm still immersed in the wonderful feeling of inner peace and relaxation it brought me.
3 days in Don Bosco Retreat House, in Batulao felt like.. well, probably heaven. Literally. aha. It was really cold there, especially during the night. It reminded me of the weather in L.A, sans the rainfalls and all. They made us watch the movie GOAL, which our football fanatic classmates loved. I think that movie hit a spot in me, because I somehow felt what he was feeling and all of his hardships. So yun. Anyways, my roomies were Pampam and Jus. The first night was OK I guess, but I didnt sleep well *haha, ok lang yung justine:D* and we were all hungry, since we weren't allowed to bring food in the room.XP We got freaked out with the dancing lightbulb. Haha. Weird.
During the 2nd day, we had fun.:D I'm too lazy to elaborate, but the seniors would know what I mean.:) Fast
3rd day: all of us weren't ready to go home just yet. The place was too captivating that we felt like we didn't want to go home muna.

Jealous has got to be one of the most over rated emotions one could feel in a relationship.
Though its normal, and it comes naturally, in my opinion, jealousy is just a state of mind.
Yes, I know I tend to get 'dangerously' jealous every now and then, but I am aware that the problem is not with me, and I get jealous because I'm insecure, and because I have low self esteem.:P hehe.

Swing. Swing. Swing.
Argh, moodswings! Post period PMS-ing. Haha! Rawr.:P How could one feel so hyper, and then feel irritated and agitated easily after? Ah, must sort out my emotional issues. Yes, yes.:P

Last Acquaintance party= unpredictable.
--
Yesterday, we had our Acquaintance party which had the theme "Dress Up My Denims". Everybody in our class weren't so thrilled about it, but decided to make the best out of it seeing it was our last party for we are graduating this year.
When our adviser called us already, we found out that those who are not wearing hats would not be allowed to enter the party, well yeah, not before they write their incident reports. Sissie (nice) and I went back to the building to help make paper hats for those who have none, seeing Mrs. Magallanes allowed Angel, and Nico when they wore paper hats. I made a paper hat for Robert with a red ribbon around it.. Hehe. He didn't wear it, but he said he'd keep it as a remembrance.:)
Anyways, the heel of my right boot broke. Haha. How come every single Acquaintance Party, I have a footwear mishap?XP Not nice. Hehe. Sissie and I danced barefoot. Hehe. I love you sissie.:D
During dinner time, Robert and Sissie forced me to eat since I stopped eating properly days ago... and they Anna and Pam joined in. And before that, they forced me to eat creme brulee. Ah. It made my tummy churn:P hehe. Kidding. Aww. Thanks so much for the concern.:)

I'm so fudging tired.:P

I have been re-reading 2 of my favorite books: What my mother doesn't know, and another hideous book where the mother dies, both by Sonya Sones, and now, my mind is full of Maybe's.
*Maybe my mom didn't mean it when she pushed me into a 6 ft pool when I was six?
*Maybe my mom didn't mean to throw her nailcutter at me?
*Maybe my mom didn't really mean to feed me her dirty slippers when I was 3?
*Maybe she just hates children (and maybe she sees me as one:P) and not mad at me specifically?
*Maybe she really loves me, and just can't show it?
I really don't know what to think. Maybe I'm just saying this now, or maybe my thinking is just so hypocritical, but one things for sure, it would take long for me to know.:)

I miss you Dan:)

Today, we went to Makati to look for denims, and patches for what I'm supposed to wear this Friday. When we were about to enter the parking lot, we saw people flocked in front of Outback's Restaurant. Turns out, they were watching Mano a Mano, the boxing fight between Filipino and Mexican undercard boxers, and ofcourse, the long awaited match between Oscar Larios, and our very own Manny Pacquiao too. It wasn't until I came home that I found out that Pacquiao won, that, and after too many heated rounds, Larios suffered from many blows, and was kinda severely injured.:P
To tell you frankly, though Pacquiao had brought another pround moment to this country of ours, I am not thrilled about his victory. Why? Well, I've been seeing his face in way way too much tv commercials, and its not really entertaining. The fact that he's advertising things like some tv star is just too much. Shouldn't he just focus on sports? He earns alot of money by doing that anyways. There is no need to sell yourself out in the market. Phoooeey.
In my opinion, Pacquiao is more of a TV star than an athlete. Phooooey.:P
Anyways, CONGRATULATIONS TO MANNY PACQUIAO, AND THE 3
FILIPINO UNDERCARD BOXERS, and ALSO TO THE MEXICAN BOXERS.:)

Our bratty neighbors are having a huge party next door, and they have a live band. OMFG. They're so loud, our floor is actually vibrating. My mom went over, since she's the godmother of the big brother of the guy who's having the party. His friends only mocked my mom and told her that the volume of the amp couldnt be decreased. Phoooey. Bullsh*t. Haha. Sorry for my language, its just they are pissing me off much. Ahh. They are so..so..intolerable. Off with their heads!:P They are so selfish, not even thinking about their neighbors. Ah! Fudgeroo.XP
SO SO SO Irritating.--
On the brighter side, my mom bought me a top from Zara earlier which I'm gonna wear on Friday. Hehe. We're gonna go to Makati tomorrow to buy pants.XP
.
.
I talked to Krissa already, and I am so happy for her. I love you and miss you so much mommy!:)
